Partial Data Capture

There are a number of reasons why website visitors leave a form half way through the process. Reasons can be as simple as a poor user journey or the form being longer than the user would like to as simple as a knock at the door or other distraction. Either way, the important thing is that the user intended to fill out the form and for whatever reason didn’t manage to complete. A lot of time effort and money went in to driving that person to the form so it’s hugely important to convert that transaction. With this in mind and on the never-ending quest for higher conversion rates, we set about creating ‘Partial Data Capture’.

The concept is quite simple; capture fields of data from the form as the user enters their information. As in the animated graphic, when the user fill out their name and click on the next field, their name is sent to a database and throughout the rest of the form, by clicking into the next field sends the data from the preceding field. If the user clicks submit at the end of the form, the data is removed from the database. If the user does not complete the form within 10 minutes the data is sent to the company in order for their operatives to contact the user to support them in completing their application. This not only supports the potential applicant but ensures the lead is not lost to another company.

From a legal standpoint and the collection of data, our terms and conditions link is now visible at the start of the form prior to the completion of any fields.

This system has resulted in an increase of usable leads across all products it has been applied to. Contact Us today to discuss this and other ways of maximising leads for your business.
